WHAT:
Learn how to navigate supportive conversations, establish safety and boundaries, and know when referrals are needed for the CCWs in your care. Laura Howe -from Hope Made Strong- will lead us in this interactive learning. Come to be equipped, make connections and build relationships over an extended lunch.

SPEAKER: 

Laura Howe is a registered Social Worker and a Certified Associate of Project Management. Throughout her career, she has invested in valuable training in cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, brief narrative therapy, anger solutions, life skills coaching, applied suicide interventions skills, mental health first aid, and an addictions training certificate from Laurier University. For over 13 years she worked for a non-profit mental health organization specializing in adult mental health and addictions as a front-line social worker offering therapy, advocacy, and addictions counseling to some of the most marginalized, ill and incredible people in the community.

WHO IS IT FOR:
It is geared towards mission agency member care workers, pastors and lay people serving on mission committees, and anyone else engaged in resourcing and caring for cross cultural workers.

Tuesday, June 13th 2023, from 10AM to 2:30PM (EDT)

WHERE:
In person, at Woodside Bible Fellowship - 200 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira, Ontario.

COST:
