Interviews to MKs and staff about ReBoot - Check it out!
Praying for MKs during a Crisis
Please wait to book any flights or make any travel plans until you have received an official confirmation from the ReBoot team confirming that ReBoot 2021 can run in person per COVID-19 guidelines.
Some of the special activities we participate in during ReBoot require the signing of additional liability and safety forms while on site prior to participation. MK’s who are 19+ can sign on their own behalf. MK’s 18 or younger technically need the signature of a parent or guardian, however, if your parent/guardian have given us permission to do so we can sign on their behalf. To request specific information on what these activities might be please contact the Classic ReBoot Director.
You will receive acknowledgment that your application has been received within 2 business days of submission.
Please contact Judy Hunter at (604) 952-0050 or reboot@outreach.ca
You will be advised that acceptance is confirmed once we have received:
In Spring 2021, when we can confirm that an in-person retreat can move forward as planned under COVID guidelines, a registration fee of $650 will be due.
The total cost of Classic ReBoot is $1,650/per MK. Contributions through sending mission organizations, sending churches and personal donors enable those who cannot pay more than $650 to attend.
Roommates are assigned by the ReBoot Director and the staff. You have the joy of being with your friend during the day as well as building new friendships with your roommate.
Arrive in Canada a minimum of 5-7 days prior to ReBoot, especially if coming from Asia, Africa or Europe. ReBoot’s very active schedule requires your full physical and mental energies. You won’t regret arriving well rested!
NOTE: It may be necessary to allow a 14 day quarantine under COVID19 guidelines if arriving outside of Canada or the province where ReBoot is being held.
ARRIVAL: Classic ReBoot begins 1pm Friday. We are available to pick you up from the airport or bus station from 10am – 3pm.
DEPARTURE: Classic ReBoot programming ends at 1pm Friday. Drop-off services are available between 1pm – 4pm.
To receive pick-up and/or drop-off services, please ensure you complete and return the Transportation Form (provided by the AB ReBoot Director upon official acceptance to attend ReBoot) and return it to the ReBoot AB Director by the deadline date indicated. The form should be accompanied by a detailed travel itinerary including:
The weather in the month of August is quite changeable. While it is a dry climate with little to no humidity, there are periods of rain during the summer months. Temperatures are also variable with average high temperatures of 23˚C (73˚F) and the average low of 8˚C (46˚F). Although day time temperatures can be quite hot, temperatures can get quite cool in the evenings and overnight.
CLOTHING: Be sure to pack a minimum of one long-sleeved hoodie and bring jeans and a light jacket for cooler evenings. For rainy weather, be sure to have a raincoat or some sort of water resistant outer layer. Be sure to also pack at least one pair of footwear appropriate for hiking (i.e. not flip-flops).
OTHER ITEMS: Be sure to bring your Bible, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent and any medication required. Also, bring along your favourite game and an item that represents your cultural heritage. If you play a musical instrument and it’s portable, please ensure you bring it along.
NOTE: Linens, towels and pillows are provided.
