FACILITATORS:

- Murray Horton
Murray grew up on the west coast in Victoria, BC where he met Maureen, his wife of 43 years. God blessed them with three daughters and three grandkids with whom they enjoy spending time. Together, life has been an adventure in pastoral ministry in Three Hills, Alberta and overseas church planting ministry in the country of Albania. Murray and Maureen are currently working in member care with Christar Canada. Murray loves caring for missionaries by listening to their stories and is a firm believer in debriefing. Murray is excited to be part of Debriefing 101 anticipating what God will do through our time together.

- Stephen & Marcella Parr
Stephen and Marcella served in Zambia, Gabon and South Africa for 20 years. During their time in Africa, they were involved in theological education, field leadership, health teaching and HIV/AIDS projects.
In their leadership role the importance of member care and listening to stories prompted Steve to further his education and training to support individuals and families who worked and lived in cultures not their own. Part of this preparation involved a variety of courses in member care through Columbia Biblical Seminary in the USA.
After their return from Africa, Steve served one year with MissionPrep then completed a Master of Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Steve spent 11 years working as a Registered Psychotherapist in Tyndale University’s Family Life Center before their move to Winnipeg in 2020. He is currently working as a Counselling Therapist with Recovery of Hope in Winnipeg. Marcella worked for Toronto Public Health. In the last years of her employment, she worked as a mental health nurse consultant providing workshops on workplace mental health promotion, prevention of intimate partner violence and suicide prevention for community health and service agency staff. Through Tyndale University, she organized and ran two workshops for Christian workers which were focused on self-care.
